2023 OVERVIEW

As you know LCPD is a woman owned small business founded in 2019 with a vision to help the underserved communities in West Virginia control the future of their own growth. 2023 was the fourth year of business for LCPD, and it was an exciting year indeed. We welcomed three new associates and in doing so expanded our areas of expertise. We signed on several new clients: Glasgow, Chesapeake, Ceredo, Kenova, Kermit, and Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation. We joined forces with three green energy vendors; Solar Holler, DC America and Matheny Motors and began working with the dedicated folks in Community Development for the USDA. We expanded our ordinance writing expertise into new Comprehensive Plans and Zoning Ordinances for our clients. Laura conceptually designed or engineered a community park, a welcome sign, two parking lots and an underground detention facility and consulted with several engineering firms on various projects. Finally, we collectively wrote 47 grants and appropriations requesting a total of more than 27 million dollars for our communities! LCPD expects 2024 to be an even better year!
